Traffic Injury Prevention is a thoroughly reviewed two-month academic journal covering injury prevention from traffic accidents. Founded in 1999 as the Journal of Crash Prevention and Injury Control, it got its current name in 2002. It is the official journal of the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine, the Association of Traffic Drugs International, International Research Council on Impact Biomechanics, and the International Council on Alcohol Drugs and Traffic Safety. The editor-in-chief is David C. Viano (ProBiomechanics LLC). According to the Journal Citation Reports , the journal has an impact factor of 1,413 of 1,413, ranked 95 out of 162 journals in the "Public, Environmental & Occupational Health" category.
