College career

Hicks played football in Texas from 2010 to 2014 under head coach Mack Brown and Charlie Strong.

Hicks started his first three games of the junior season in the weakside midfielder, but then missed the rest of the season with a hip injury. Professional career

On December 1, 2014, it was announced that Hicks had accepted his invitation to play in the 2015 Senior Bowl. On January 24, 2015, Hicks played at Reese's Senior Bowl and recorded five combined tackles to help Tennessee Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt beat North 34-13. She is one of 34 college linebackers to attend the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, Indiana. Hicks completed all the combination exercises and ran the fastest running 40 yards between all linebackers. 2015
